French Coast to Canal du Midi

We crossed the bridge at Le Somail (bottom right) to see what the circular tower was. We had to brave the geese but a small information board explained that the round building (top right) was used to preserve ice through summer in the days before refrigerators, when Le Somail was a canal staging post.
